House, Room, Bed and Pillow

The Purple White Flying Stars is a Chinese Feng Shui method to find people's lucky living environment. If the Purple White Flying Stars is new to you, please read the basic background page first. The traditional Flying Star diagram makes the south on the top, the north on the bottom, the west on the right and the east on the left.

There are nine different type of Flying Star diagrams. All diagrams are named by the center number, which is called Kua Number or Type number. The application here uses eight different types of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9. All eight types of Kua Numbers are distinguished into two group. The Kua numbers of 1, 3, 4 and 9 are in the Eastern group. The Kua numbers of 2, 6, 7 an 8 are in the Western group.

The Flying Stars can apply on the orientation of house, a bedroom, a person and a period of time. Feng Shui is highly recommend that people reside in the same group house, live in a room of the same group and marry someone from the same group.

The following Feng Shui concept might be different from what you read or what you learned before, because there are many Feng Shui schools and theories out there. We carefully write the following simple information, which we think that makes sense.

House Type and Main Front Door (Gate)

The orientation of a house determines the Feng Shui Type of a house. If you stand outside your house and look at the front side of your house, the direction you face it determined the Feng Shui Kua Number of your house.

If you are not quite sure which side is the front side of the house, then try the second way. When you stand under your main front door and look inside your house, the direction you face it determined the Feng Shui Kua Number of your house. It's same that you sit in the center of your house and look toward the location of the front door, the direction in your back determines the Feng Shui Kua number.

Chinese Feng Shui books like to say that a house sits in a certain direction referring to the Kua Number. Don't confuse the statement of a house faces on a certain direction, which is easily understood and used by many people too.

A good Feng Shui House of the Eastern Group is the main gate in the directions of south, north, east or southeast. It's same to the Western Group house that the main gate in the directions of west, northwest, southwest or northeast. Feng Shui says these kinds of houses make people rich, if people's Kua Number is in the Feng Shui Group of the house.

That means you should live in an Eastern Type house if you are an Eastern Type person and vice versa. It's strongly recommend to find your permanent house using this simple rule.

Your Kua Number and Feng Shui Type

To determine your Feng Shui Type is to know your Kua Number first. The Kua Number is determined by your birth year. You can find your Kua Number from the Your Kua Number and Flying Stars page.

If your Kua Number is 1, 3, 4 or 9, then you are in the Eastern Type person. If your Kua Number is 2, 6, 7 or 8 are in the Western Type person.

If you are in the Eastern Type person, then south, north, east and southeast are your lucky directions. If your Western Type person, then west, northwest, southwest and northeast are your auspicious directions.

Room Location Type

The location of a room determines the Feng Shui type of a room location.

It's the same rule that Eastern type people live in an Eastern location type room and Western type people live in Western location type room to bring their luck and energy higher.

Room Type and Room Door

The main door of a room determines the room's Feng Shui type.

If you stand under the room door and look toward inside the room, the direction you face determines the Feng Shui Kua number.

Good Feng Shui room of the Eastern Type should open an Eastern type of room door, which locates in the direction of south, north, east or southeast. Good Feng Shui room of the Western Type should open a Western type of room door.

Again, Eastern people should live in the Eastern type room and Western people should live in the Western type room.

The auspicious areas of Eastern type room are the south, north, east and southeast corners, which are ideal location for the beds. The other corners are good for the closet. It's opposite to arrange the Western type room.

Pillow and Bed in Room

The bed should be arranged in the auspicious area by the type of a room.

The pillow should put in the auspicious direction according to the Feng Shui type. The end of a bed with the pillow is the head of a bed. If the pillow leans on the East side wall, then we say that the bed sits East and faces West. If the bed leans on East side and North side walls, then we say the bed faces Southwest.

When two different Feng Shui type persons live in the same room, then you need to know some solutions. If two beds are in the room, then arrange them in the different type area. If one bunk bed is in the room, then each pillow faces different direction. If only one bed is in the room, the best way is to ask Feng Shui professional to measure the room to find the best locations. The other way is to share the auspicious areas. The auspicious factors are the type of the house, the type of room location, the type of the room, the location of the room door, the location of the bed and the location of the pillows. If the person is the head of the house, the he or she should be given more auspicious factors.

It's hard to find a perfect house for all family members unless you have a custom-made house. Many people probably cannot afford to find the right house or move to a lucky room. However, we always have the choice to arrange our own room and bed. In this way, we still can take the some advantage out of Feng Shui.
